    National Day of Poland on Astana EXPO 2017 8-9-2017

    On September 7, the National Day of Poland took place at the international EXPO Astana. This was the second day of the presidential visit of Andrzej Duda and Agata Kornhauser-Duda as part of closer economic cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     

     

    The National Day of Poland started on the Scene of National Days (that is made with FIAB machines help). Prime Minister of Kazakhstan – Bakytzhan Saginatayev and President Andrzej Duda gave the speech at opening ceremony. They both emphasized the importance of economic cooperation and the building of mutual economic relations between countries.

    Andrzej Duda emphasized not only the importance of Kazakh-Polish cooperation, but also officially greeted Poles living in Kazakhstan, who came to EXPO 2017 for a special invitation of the President of the Republic of Poland, all happened during the celebration of the National Day of Poland.

    The ceremony was iproved by live music show: Urban Band, perform quartet Sebastian Karpiel-Bułecka and a performance by the Orchestra of Mining Chwałowice.



    After the performances, President Duda went to visit the Polish Pavilion at the EXPO and visited the Pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the official Polish delegation.

    Then there was a meeting with the Poles living in Kazakhstan, during which the head of state gave a moving speech. It emphasized the importance of further promoting Polishness in Kazakhstan, to which the grandparents invited guests during the Soviet occupation of Poland were deported. The President also received a commemorative medal for the 80th anniversary of the deportation of our countrymen to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    The official visit of the Presidential couple ended with a solemn concert for representatives of both countries and Poles living in Kazakhstan.
