FIAB HP is a stationary HF welding machine with a rotating head suspended from a steel structure, designed for working with large and heavy sheets of material. Its design leaves plenty of free space in front of and behind the welding area, making it easier to lay out, pull through and position successive sections of the product being manufactured.
The 360° rotating head allows the welding direction to be adjusted to the way the material is positioned. Combined with the open space around the workstation, it gives operators the freedom required when producing large-format membranes, covers and pneumatic structures.

Producing a biogas membrane, a tent hall cover or an air dome means working with very large sheets of material. Each additional joint increases the overall size of the product, which must be properly positioned, moved and accommodated around the machine.
In conventional HF welding machines, the workstation structure often limits the amount of space available for the material. Operators have to maneuver heavy sheets in a confined area, while handling the growing product becomes increasingly difficult.
FIAB HP was developed specifically to make this stage of production easier. Suspending the welding head opens up the space in front of and behind the welding area. This gives operators more room both for the material waiting to be joined and for the already welded section of the product.
With large-format products, changing the welding direction may require repositioning a significant section of heavy material.
The rotating FIAB HP head allows the electrode to be positioned at any selected angle throughout a full 360° range. This makes it easier to align the electrode with the planned welding line and can reduce the need to rotate the entire product.
This is particularly useful when joining components with different shapes and orientations, especially when the finished product already occupies a significant area of the production hall.

The way the head is suspended provides an open area for guiding material through the welding zone. It improves access to the sections being joined and makes it easier to organize work around the workstation.

Large sheets and already joined sections require space on both sides of the weld. The FIAB HP design makes it easier to position and pull them through during successive production stages.

Working on a product that becomes one large structure
FIAB HP meets the needs of production processes in which successive sections are joined together to create one large-format product. The open space around the head makes the product easier to handle as its surface area increases.
FIAB HP has been designed for large products made from materials suitable for high-frequency welding, particularly:
biogas membranes and membrane gas holders;
pneumatic air dome structures;
covers for tent halls, tents and hangars;
architectural membranes and tensile structures;
large-format flexible tanks;
custom-made products requiring multiple sheets to be joined into one large structure.
In biogas membranes, tanks and pneumatic structures, the quality of each joint directly affects the functionality of the finished product. Depending on the application, welds may need to meet demanding requirements for strength, watertightness or gas-tightness.
FIAB HP provides the space and freedom of head positioning required when manufacturing such products. It makes it easier to prepare and guide large surfaces of material, supporting precise execution of successive welds. Proper selection of materials and welding parameters allows the process to be adapted to the requirements of the specific product.
