FIAB 1400L S – an extremely flexible welding machine for large PVC and TPU welded structures

The HF welding machine FIAB 1400L S is an advanced, premium-segment machine that sets new standards of mobility among HF welders operating on rail systems. It is a solution designed for maximum flexibility and efficiency in large-scale production.

Its unique feature is an HF head with 360° rotation, additionally equipped with transverse movement (Y-axis) of up to an impressive 1200 mm – which significantly reduces the need to move the material, keeping it to an absolute minimum.

The ergonomic design of the machine, featuring side working platforms, enables comfortable operation from all sides while ensuring excellent visibility and full control of the process.

A spacious material trough allows for easy placement of large material sheets, which is particularly important for manufacturers working with large-format materials. The FIAB 1400LS performs perfectly both in large-surface welding and in precision applications requiring the electrode to be set at the correct angle.

Thanks to its design, the welding machine can operate both on an elevated table and below floor level, making it an extremely versatile solution – ideal for manufacturers with diverse production needs: from air domes, through technical tanks, to smaller, more demanding components.

The FIAB 1400L S is an advanced HF welding machine operating on a rail system, created for working with large PVC and TPU structures. Unlike standard machines that offer only linear movement, the 1400L S provides full working freedom thanks to its unique head kinematics.

A 360° rotating head and its movement across three axes (left–right, front–back, up–down) enable welding in any direction – without the need to reposition the material.

Recipes – fast parameter change and full production repeatability:

The welding machine allows saving and instantly recalling ready-made parameter sets for different products and applications. Each recipe includes key process settings – such as welding time, power, pressure force, and cooling time – all essential to achieve durable and visually consistent joints.

Once a recipe is saved, the operator can switch settings in just two clicks – without guessing or manual adjustment. This means faster changeovers, lower risk of errors, and higher production efficiency.

SBS System – step welding for demanding materials:

The advanced SBS system has been developed for materials that are difficult to weld, including flame-retardant and multi-layer materials.

Thanks to a proprietary software solution, you can program multiple welding stages within a single cycle. In practice, this means the material is gradually processed using different parameters, enabling controlled and reliable bonding.

The SBS system expands production capabilities and provides a clear advantage wherever standard welding processes are not sufficient.
