High frequency welding machine FIAB SPIDER XYZ

Large formats. Freedom to work in three axes.

FIAB SPIDER XYZ is a large-format HF welding system in which the welding head moves along the X, Y and Z axes above stationary material. The gantry design allows the head to move between welding positions within the working area, reducing the need to reposition large sheets.

This means that large-format components can remain in position while the welding head moves to the required welding location.

The system provides a high degree of freedom when positioning the welding head above the material and makes it easier to perform welds in different areas of large products. Even complex projects can be completed without repeatedly moving large and heavy sheets.

FIAB SPIDER XYZ – freedom to weld large surfaces

Large-format production requires efficient organisation of material handling. The larger and heavier the components, the more time may be required to move, rotate and reposition them before the next weld.

FIAB SPIDER XYZ allows the material to remain laid out on the worktable. The movable welding head travels to each welding location while the material remains in position within the working area.

This solution makes it easier to complete projects where welds are located in different areas of a large component. It also provides greater flexibility when working with complex weld layouts and details that require access to areas within the material surface.

Three axes of movement – access to the welding point

Movement along the X and Y axes allows the welding head to be positioned above any selected location within the working area. The Z axis controls the vertical movement required to perform the welding cycle.

The combination of these movements makes it possible to work above material laid out on the table and perform welds at different points across its surface. This is particularly important for large components, where repeated repositioning can be time-consuming or make it difficult to maintain correct material alignment.

FIAB SPIDER XYZ – less material handling, more efficient production

Moving large material panels between successive welding operations can make it difficult to maintain their correct position. The design of the SPIDER XYZ reduces the need for such operations by transferring the movement to the welding head.

What do you gain?

• Access to different welding locations – the welding head moves lengthwise and crosswise across the working area.

• Less repositioning of large sheets – subsequent welds can be performed while keeping the material in position within the operating range of the welding head.

• Easier control of component alignment – the material remains laid out on the table, making it easier to monitor the relative position of the parts being joined.

• Greater flexibility for complex projects – welding locations positioned in different areas of the product can be reached more easily.

• More efficient workflow – reducing the operations associated with moving the material can shorten preparation time between successive welds.

One system – many applications

FIAB SPIDER XYZ meets the needs of manufacturers producing large components made from materials suitable for high-frequency welding.

A solution for companies producing:

The appropriate selection of material, electrode and process parameters makes it possible to adapt the welding technology to the requirements of a specific product.

From large surfaces to precisely positioned details

SPIDER XYZ is worth considering wherever a product requires numerous welds to be made across a large surface.

Joining material panels, attaching reinforcements or welding details within a large component requires access to the correct location and control over material positioning. The gantry design provides the working space required to perform these operations above the worktable.

It is a solution for manufacturers who want to improve the handling of large formats and achieve greater freedom in positioning welds within a project.
