Additional operator platforms – less walking, greater operator comfort

Operator platforms are optional accessories for FIAB Machines travelling HF welders, allowing the operator to travel with the machine. When moving to the next working position, the operator remains on the platform, eliminating the need to cover the same distance on foot and improving operator safety.

This is particularly useful with long worktables and frequent travel between successive welding positions. Over a full shift, reducing repeated trips on foot can mean noticeably less walking and reduced operator fatigue.

Key benefits:

  • Travelling with the machine – the operator rides on the platform to the next working position together with the welder, improving operator safety.

  • Less walking during each shift – every journey on the platform reduces the distance the operator would otherwise have to walk along the worktable.

  • Greater comfort when working at long tables – travelling with the welder is particularly useful at workstations where longer distances must be covered frequently.

Practical support for large-format production

Operator platforms are worth considering when configuring travelling welders for production processes that require long worktables, such as manufacturing tarpaulins, biogas membranes, tent hall covers and flexible tanks. The longer the travel distance and the greater the number of repeated operations, the more important it becomes to reduce the distances operators need to walk.

Additional FIAB platforms allow operators to travel with the machine, reducing walking and helping them conserve their energy throughout the production shift.
